Daniel Jorgenson is a gaffer from Pleasanton, California. In 2021, he moved to Orange County, where he attended Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film & Media Arts and fell in love with the art of telling stories with light. He graduated in 2023 with a B.F.A. in Film Production and now aims to join IATSE Local 728 for Studio Electrical Lighting Technicians.

He is currently based in LA with experience lighting a wide range of music videos, short films, and commercial projects. Whether the project requires a handful of lights or a whole truck, he strives to always fulfill DPs’ visions and creatively solve every problem that arises on set.

He loves to learn new techniques and overcome the challenges of lighting equipment becoming increasingly more modern and digital. He has experience using ETC Nomad and blackout lighting consoles with his iPad/AKS+.
